1. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc is currently the Rector at Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Vietnam. Prior to HCMC Open University, he has ten years’ experience in Institute for Economic Research HCMC (IER). He did his PhD study in Economic Development from Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, Netherlands in 2006. His researches focus on sustainable economic growth, Foreign Direct Investment, and business analyses in industry sectors of education, agriculture and finance. Dr. Phuc also acts as a member of Chairman Committee at Humanities and Social Sciences Research Program, Department of Science and Technology Ho Chi Minh City.
2. Dr. Trinh Thuy Anh
Dr. Trinh Thuy Anh is a Dean of Business Administration, Ho Chi Minh City Open University (HCMCOU). Her field of study is management. She is an author of text books that are used for teaching Business Administration program in HCMCOU, such as: Management, Project Management, International Business, Case study in Business Administration, Project Analysis and Appraisal, Balanced Scorecard in Enterprise Management in Vietnam.
Dr. Trinh Thuy Anh has done many researches in management field. She has published papers in Journal of Science, Journal of Commercial Science, Journal of Economics and Development, Economic Development Journal, etc.
3. Dr. Patrick J. Gilabert
UNIDO Representative in Viet Nam since 2011, Patrick Gilabert leads a technical cooperation portfolio of 25 M USD which support private sector development, investment and subcontracting promotion, Corporate Social Responsibility, trade capacity building, cleaner production and energy efficiency. On the academic side, he is guest lecturer at the Foreign Trade University of Ha Noi, the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam, cooperates with French Think Tanks “Competitive Intelligence Worldwide” and CFVG Business School in Viet Nam.
He joined UNIDO in 1993, first in Viet Nam (1993-1995), then at UNIDO HQ Vienna (1996-2006) in charge of investment promotion in Africa (Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Uganda), Arab countries (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Qatar) and China (Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Kunming). He was coordinator of the “UNIDO Supply Chain Development Programme”, a global network of 30 Industrial Subcontracting centres. In 2007, he was appointed UNIDO Representative for the Indian Ocean countries (2007-2010). Based in Antananarivo, he coordinated UNIDO’s technical cooperation in Comoros, Madagascar, Seychelles and Mauritius.
Prior to his career with the UN, Dr. Gilabert worked for the marketing division of Gemplus Electronics (smart card Company) in France, Marubeni Corporation (Japanese trading company) in Japan and as commercial officer at the French Embassy in Japan and Sri Lanka.
4. Prof. Dr. Andreas Zaby
Professor Andreas Zaby was granted Scholarship award from the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Munich and reached finale round in the “Doctoral Thesis Competition” of the European International Business Academy in Stockholm. He is also the Winner of the Business Plan Competition of the Deutsche Ausgleichsbank in Bonn and is invited to join the “Beta Gamma Sigma” Honor Society for AACSB -accredited business schools. He joined Berlin School of Economics and Law (BSEL) since 2008 as a Professor of International Management and becomes Vice President for BSEL from 2010 to 2014 and since 1 April 2014, he is appointed to be President of the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
Besides, he is an internationally-known scholar in the area of international management, with specialization in study management of high-tech companies, particularly bio-tech companies, Venture capital and entrepreneurial finance and Economic incentives for the development of medicines for rare diseases. His publications appeared extensively in journals such as International Journal of Innovation, Policy and Management, International Journal of Biotechnology.
5. Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Anh Dao
Tran Thi Anh Dao is known as Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Rouen (France). She is currently Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Economics Applied to Globalization (CREAM, University of Rouen) and Associate Researcher at the Centre in Economics of Paris North (CEPN, University of Paris 13). Apart from that, she also holds the position of Vice-President (Europe) of the International Society of Vietnam Economists, whose mission (among others) is to encourage and promote research and training in economics, management and finance among Vietnamese professors and researchers all over the world.
Her main fields of interest lie in macroeconomic issues of international integration and development, development sustainability, with a focus on emerging economies of East and Southeast Asia. With broad knowledge of Asian area and international trade policies, she has not only participated to various cooperation projects in this area, but also owned years of experience in training/designing trainings for public officials on areas of macroeconomics, economic development, international trade and globalization.
6. Assoc.Prof. Dr. Le Nguyen Hau
Le Nguyen Hau is an Associate Professor of Marketing. Mr. Hau received his Master (Hons.) and Ph.D. in the University of Western Sydney – Australia. He currently serves as the Dean of the School of Industrial Management, HCM City University of Technology - VNU, Vietnam. His research covers consumer marketing, service marketing, strategic marketing and knowledge management. His works have been published in various journals such as Journal of World Business, Journal of Business Research, Service Business, Service Industries Journal, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Asia Pacific Business Review and Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics. In industry service, Hau served as director of the SME Support Office (funded by UNIDO), Business Research & Training Center (funded by Swiss Government), and leader of several consulting projects.
Hau’s current research is on value co-creation in knowledge intensive services. For the years to come, his research continues to focus on service marketing. Topics include service-dominant orientation, service innovation, knowledge intensive service, customer engagement to co-create value, service personal values, customer/firm operant resources, etc.
7. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dinh Tho
Nguyen Dinh Tho is Chair of Research and Doctoral Program, International School of Business, University of Economics HCM City, Vietnam. For the last several years, Thọ’s teaching, research, and consulting activities have been in the areas of values and dynamic capabilities of the firm. His works have been published in Asia Pacific Business Review, International Business Review, Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Consumer Behaviour, Journal of Happiness Studies, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Macromarketing, among others.
8. Prof. Beniamino Milioto
Beniamino Milioto is Professor of Economic Globalization and Fashion and Design Management at University of International Studies of Rome and EU law at Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (ISSP DAP/Ministry of Justice).
He graduated in law with honor in 1999 at the University of Siena/ Tuscany with an undergraduate dissertation on WTO TRIPs (Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights in the context of Global Trade), specialized on international public and private law. He was attended EU Competition Law Courses at University Bicocca Milan and a Master Degree II on International Public and Private Law at SIOI and University Tor Vergata in Rome. From 2000 to 2002, he worked for prestigious law firms and international institutions in Paris and joined the Italian Bar Association in 2001. Back to Rome from 2003, he based there as an associated lawyer in private practice, before being appointed by the Italian Government as executive officer at the Presidency of the Italian Government Council - Cabinet of the Prime Minister for the Implementation of the governmental program focusing on drafting development and environmental laws, stakeholders & public affairs in 2005 ‘til 2008. He then delegated in Tunis by the Italian Foreign Office worked for the Embassy of Italy as expert on international public procurement in June 2012; and served in Jordan on behalf of European Commission for energy project, etc.. in 2015.
9. Mr. Thomas Thomas
Thomas Thomas is the CEO of the ASEAN CSR Network, a network of CSR networks in ASEAN to achieve a responsible business community in ASEAN. He is an Honorary Professor of Corporate Social Responsibility with the Nottingham University Business School in the United Kingdom.
He serves on the UN Economic and Social Council for Asia Pacific (ESCAP)’s Business Advisory Council, an initiative to consult the private sector and other relevant stakeholders on business related policy issues of importance to Asia and the Pacific. He was also the lead of the study team that did the base line study on CSR in ASEAN Member States for the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights. He serves in the Eminent Persons’ Group developing the Reporting and Assurance Framework Initiative (RAFI) for the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Thomas had been active with trade unions, co-operatives, the consumer movement and social enterprises and also served as a Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore.
10. Assoc.Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Phuong Thao
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Phuong Thao got PhD degree in Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand) in 2008 and got the certificate of recognition of Associate Professor in 2013. She worked as a lecturer at HCMC University of Economics since 1985 and moved to HCMC OU since 2006. Now she is Vice dean of Postgraduate School at HCMC OU. Her teaching courses and research area are Marketing management, Business research methods, Business case and E-commerce. Her academic articles are published in Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, Journal of Asia Media, Journal of Economic Development, Journal of Science, Journal of Banking Technology, Journal of Science and Technology.
11. Dr. Duong Nhu Hung
Dr. Duong Nhu Hung is a Vice-Rector of University of Economic and Law. Mr. Duong Nhu Hung achieved his Ph.D. of Finance from Old Dominion University, Virginia in USA since 2008 and his M.B.A. in International Business from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand since 1999 and M.Sc. Electric Power Systems Technical University of Budapest in Hungary since 1993. His research fields are Stock returns, Capital Structure, Dividend Policy, Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Total Factor Productivity (TFP), and Performance of State Owned Enterprises.
12. Dr. Tran Tien Khoa
Dr. Tran Tien Khoa is a Vice Rector at International University, a member of Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh city (VNU-HCM). Prior to taking up this position at International University in 2007, he held administrative positions including roles as Head of Administration Affairs Department, and Vice Director of Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment at VNU-HCM. He holds his MBA from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, and a DBA from Western Sydney University, Australia.
Dr. Khoa teaches courses in marketing such as Strategic Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior, Brand Management and Digital Marketing, at both graduate and undergraduate level. He has also consulted for some local advertising companies in Ho Chi Minh city. His research interests include social and digital marketing. He brings to his teaching and research, 20 year of educational management and industry consulting experience. He is a current editorial board member of Asian Management Briefs.
13. Dr. Vo Hong Duc
Dr. Vo Hong Duc was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics in 2007 by the University of Western Australia (UWA), one of the best universities in Australia. Duc was also a recipient of the UQ-VNU scholarship to complete his Masters studies at the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia.
Duc’s research has been published in various high quality peer-reviewed international journals such as The Journal of Economic Surveys (UK); Journal of the Asia Pacific Economies (Australia); International Encyclopaedia of Public Policy (USA); International Journal of Economics and Law (Italy) and many others. Duc’s current research interest covers a wide range of topics from cost of capital for regulated businesses to shadow economy; corporate governance; credit rating; and risk management. He has also acted as an editor for various international journals as well as Vietnamese journals.
Duc is currently working at the Economic Regulation Authority in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. He has been recently appointed as an advisor for the Financial Markets and Services Research Centre at Edith Cowan University, Australia.
14. Dr. Do Ba Khang
Do Ba Khang is currently Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Commerce, Hoa Sen University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Before joining the Hoa Sen University in January 2013, he was Associate Professor at the School of Management, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. He holds a M.Sc. in Mathematics from University of Budapest, Hungary, and a M.Sc. and Dr. Tech. Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from AIT. With wide research interest, he has published over 30 papers in international peer-reviewed journals, including Operations Research, Journal of Operational Research Society, Project Management Journal, IIE Transactions, Networks, Water Resources Research, Quality Assurance in Education, Journal of Modelling in Management, International Journal of Mobile Marketing, Renewable Energy Journal, Journal of High Technology Management Research, Analysis and Annuals of Numerical Mathematics. He also provides consulting services in capacity building for various multinational and national companies, government agencies, international and non-governmental organizations.
15. Siep Littooij
Mr S.L. Littooij (Siep) manages the International Projects Desk at the Saxion University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands. He is member of the team Research Strategy Programme. He holds a master’s degree in Sociology and a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture. He is personally interested in the knowledge flows and innovation results from collaboration between the university and business.
Leading a small team, he supports international activities, fund raising and grant applications by the Saxion Schools and Research centres. As EU-liaison officer, he is the linking pin between institutional, regional and European policy initiatives. He matches strategic initiatives and innovation & research programmes with funding opportunities and supports the initial stages of projects, Saxion projects fund research and innovation, facilitate international mobility and support tailor made training or capacity building. As international co-director, he leads the Vietnamese Ministry of Education & Training project “Profession Oriented Higher Education (POHE)” phase 2, implemented with NUFFIC funding. Before joining Saxion he has worked more than 15 years as consultant with international organisations, mostly in Asia.
16. Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Ha
Associate Professor Nguyen Minh Ha achieved his Doctor of Philosophy on Economic Science at University of Aberdeen Business School in UK in 2006. His concerned research fields are Entrepreneurship, Corporate Finance, Investment Project analysis, Applied Econometrics, and Macroeconomics. He owned three books specialized in academic research topics and more than 50 publications in wide range of journals such as Science Journal of HCMC Open University, Banking Technology Review, Journal of Economics and Development, Review of World Economic and Political, Advances in Management and Applied Economics, Review of Social Sciences Hochiminh City, Vietnam Trade and Industry Review.....
