Ho Chi Minh City Open Open University was founded in 1990 to offer an open way of training. HCMC Open University provides a variety of programs from undergraduate to postgraduate, ranging from on-site to distance learning, learning at satellite academic centers, aiming at meeting various learning needs.

Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc is currently the Rector at Ho Chi Minh City Open University. Prior to HCMC Open University, he has ten years’ experience in Institute for Economic Research HCMC. He did his PhD study in Economic Development from Institute of Social Studies, Netherlands in 2006. His researches focus on sustainable economic growth, Foreign Direct Investment, and business analyses in industry sectors of education, agriculture and finance. Assc.Prof. Phuc also a member of Committee Chairman at Humanities and Social Sciences Research Program, Department of Science and Technology Ho Chi Minh City. 

The CSR project (Adapt - Adopt - Improve CSR and Sustainable Consumption and Production in Vietnam) is a joint initiative of VCCI-SDforB, UNIDO and UNEP funded by the One UN Plan Vietnam.

Mr. Florian Beranek, is United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Lead Expert Social Responsibility and has been leading over the past 6years several UNIDO CSR Projects with partners focusing on promoting CSR in business sector in South East Asia and China. He has a great experience in ISO 26000, supply chain compliance, CSR strategy development. Florian Beranek is accredited member of the CSR-Experts Group of Austrian Chamber of Commerce, UNIDO certified CSR-Reap Consultant & SAI-certified SA8000 auditor. He is currently also leading the development of UNIDO reap26 an innovative tool for integrated CSR based on ISO26000.
